2-28-22   THOUGHTS

Isa 55 :8-9    "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.  9  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Ps 36:5     Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness [reaches] to the skies.
Ps 103:11    For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
Rom 11:33      Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

At a time that God will choose, the following will occur!
1Cor 15:42-54    So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; 43  it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44  it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.  45  So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46  However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47  The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. 48  As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. 49  Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly. 50  Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51   Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,   52  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53  For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54  But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.

Song: I AM THINE, O LORD,  Fanny J. Crosby 1875.  We sang it yesterday as a part of a sermon in song.   Verse 4 reads, “There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea;  There are heights of joy that I may not reach Till I rest in peace with thee.”
Job 11:7-9   "Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? 8  "They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know? 9  "Its measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea.
Eph 2:7  so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

My Prayer:
Lord, we long to have the capacity to see you as you truly are.  When you change us, we will know your glory and majesty in a way not possible now.  We long for such vision.  Thank you, O Lord, for the promise of eternity with you!    In the name of our Savior,     Amen
